Kanhaa....iss baar maakhan ghar mai hi khana

For most of us, Janmashtami involves staying up till wee hours singing hymns, or engaging in the festive team sport of Dahi Handi! This year as well, Bhartians celebrated Janmashtami with excitement and pomp never seen before.

Bhartians from Pre-primary until Class 12 participated in large numbers with photoshoot and props, handmade decorated Jhoola, Puja Thali, decorated Matki, etc. We took the celebrations back home and want you to feel the excitement as well!

We congratulate our winners from the Janmashtami contest and encourage everyone to participate in all upcoming events to usher joy and merriment into your homes and lives!

BPS wishes you all a very HAPPY RAKSHA BANDHAN!

The bond of siblings is strengthened by tying a thread. A thread which symbolises life, love, and care which increases with each passing year.
Siblings fight, but they care. They may be protective, but they pamper and shower with gifts galore. This Raksha Bandhan some of us may be away in distance, but never at heart.
Here are our Rakhi-making contest WINNERS, we hope you admire and appreciate their creativity as much as we did!

Saluting our unsung heroes on Kargil Day!

Kargil Vijay Diwas commemorates India's victory of "Operation Vijay" in 1999. Today, BPS indulged in a heart-to-heart conversation with MR. HUTANSH VERMA who deployed the Artist in him to serve the nation's frontline heroes, our soldiers.

Mr. Hutansh paints and delivers portraits to families of over 65 soldiers who lost their lives in the Kargil war, free of cost. He makes Portraits of Patriots to express gratitude for a sacrifice that benefited the nation then and continues to do so till date!

He says, "you don't have to wear a uniform with stars to serve the country" but actions taken at an individual level can help serve the country in every little way.

For us, Mr. Hutansh Verma is a hero without a cape!

“ Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit “

Keeping the same standpoint and to facilitate students to experience the beauty of yoga , environment  and humanity; a 3-day event (18 – 20 May 2017) ‘ Spark Of Yoga ‘  was organized in the school premises. With the spirit of optimism and delight, the guest of honour,Swami Harshanand, senior monk of the Ramakrishna Order; exuded his warm mesmeric presence amid the congregation of the Principal, Ms. Savita Arora, Director Mr. Rajesh Batra, staff members and students.

Bringing to light the time tested benefits of Yoga; Swami Ji enlightened the camp with his inspiring and august presence. Thereafter, Swami Ji tutored the students with the nature of Yoga which ignited the light of self-awareness in all.

During the interactive session, the gathering enjoyed various physical exercises and asanas. Students were also sensitized towards the Environmental issues and the channelization of the Panchtatvas. Swami Ji not only focused on the health parameters but also propagated the need of clean environment and its impact on health. Activating participation of youth in the protection of environment and prudent use of natural resources was the main objective of the session. Swamiji also stressed the importance of laughter in one’s life. Gathering was even made accountable by taking the pledge for conservation of water and planting of trees.

Celebrating Earth Day) - https://goo.gl/photos/VKUAyUGastEbp3u87

The Earth day was celebrated by conducting myriad activities showcasing love, care and responsibility towards the Earth. It's a day when we pause to think about the environment. The School cultivates the ethics to make every day, Earth day.

A visit to Karkardooma courts was organised for the students of class XII  on !3 April,17 to make them aware about the Legal Proceedings  and first hand knowledge of court proceedings. The  bright-eyed students entered the court with great anticipation.Brief information about legal consultancies was given by an amicable advocate. The end of information brought the students at the edge of their seats, willing to hear the court proceedings. The first question answer program with the judge of civil court somehow expanded the way of a child's thinking about the judicial system of the country,The cases of murder and match-fixing were heard in criminal court, that was enough for all to actualize justice in real sense.Though the ambience was gloomy for the litigants and they were equipped by their apprehensions but students were incomprehensibly desirous to know more about the place.Students were then taken to an unique place known as 'Mediation room' where they ardently gathered the knowledge of confidentiality and compromises. The visit preceded to a conference hall and everyone luckily met Ms.Bhavani Sharma, the judge and the secretary of DLSA of East Delhi who succeeded in giving faithful services to the country from last 9 years. The session broadened the parameters of of legal knowledge to children,The queries of students and teachers were interestingly answered by her.The first time experience of court visit enticed the students and even caused a stir in them to opt  for the profession. The visit  ended with a token of thanks by the representative members of the school and the memories were captured in everyone's eyes and in the lens to recapitulate the followed enthusiasm and bliss.
